Allstars

I was so proud of Evan for making the Nederland Little Dribbler's Allstar Team.  He had a great season, and we were ready to watch him play in some tournaments. I really liked his new uniform.

Evan played in a tournament in Winnie and then in Port Neches.  Evan's team was the only team that were all 3rd graders.  The other teams were made up of 4th and 5th graders.  Before the games the boys would warm up in their shooter shirts.

The games were so much fun.  Evan did a great job playing basketball.  He made some really great plays and hustled the whole time!

A basketball game wouldn't be the same without Camryn and I cheering on our brothers and doing cartwheels!

Evan didn't end up winning the tournament, but he had a great season, and we are all very proud of him!  I can't wait to cheer for him again next year :)

Take Me Out to the Ball Game

It was a beautiful weekend to play some baseball.  It was my first Rough Rider tournament of the year.  It was also my first kid-pitch tournament to ever play.  I got to pitch for my first time in select ball.  I was so nervous, but not as nervous as my mom!

I had some great hits this weekend.  My mom thinks I hit good just for her since it was her birthday.  I think it was because I have been practicing and have really great coaches!  I even hit one so hard that it broke the end off of my one day old bat.  Hopefully by the end of the season Mom will have some better pictures of me batting.

I couldn't have played so well if it wasn't for one of my biggest supporters.......Ava.

We won our first three games and lost the fourth one.  It was a good way to start our baseball season.  I am looking forward to a lot more tournaments and some championship trophies.  The Baseball Tournament was a great way to end a fantastic Spring Break!

Wanted For A Good Time!

Every year we wait and wait for this day to come.......the opening of the Nederland Heritage Festival!!!!!  We couldn't wait to go ride rides and play games!  

We found our friends to ride with.  It was like the whole town was there!

I think Evan should have worn red!!!

Some of our favorite rides were the Remix, Sizzler, and the Music Express.

We also loved the food!  You can never go wrong with corn dogs, chicken nuggets, and nachos.

We were so excited when we won our yearly fish from the festival!  It is one thing we look forward to every year.  

Hunter won a really cool hat and angry chicken.

We spent our last day at the Heritage Festival with our family.  Jack and Ryder came into town to ride all the rides with us.  It was my mom's birthday, so we celebrated it between Evan's baseball games and the festival.  We loved every moment of the festival and can't wait for it to come back next year!

Our Heaven On Earth

We started Spring Break at, "Our Heaven on Earth", Wildwood.  It is our home away from home, and we love to be there.  It was a rainy weekend, but we had a blast!  We started our weekend with Oma and Mom taking us on a ride on the golf cart to the Country Store, and they bought all of us some snacks.  Then we decided to ride the golf cart through all the puddles and mud that we could find!!!!  When we got back to the house, Kaylee and I decided to do a craft and make bird feeders out of pinecones.

The boys decided to go practice some putting on the 10th green right outside in the backyard.

After the rain stopped, Opa and Oma took all of us fishing.  I was the only one who caught a fish!  Evan said Opa helped me, but I think I did it all by myself.  We really had a great time in Wildwood, like always!  We wish Dad could have come, but he was working.  

Where else can a child go mudding on a golf cart, chase geese, go fishing, do crafts, go "deer hunting", play golf, jump on a trampoline, and zipline all in 24 hours?  The only place I know of is Wildwood!  Now you know why we call it "Our Heaven On Earth".

The Writings On the Wall

I was so excited to discover that my St. Patrick's Day Story was chosen by Mrs. Lopez to be put on the Writer's Wall.  We were leaving school for Spring Break and there it was.....my story on the wall.  I didn't want to take a picture, but my mom made me.  I was kind of embarrassed, but I took the picture because she was so proud of me!

Fun Run

We were so excited to run in the Nederland Fun Run, even though last year after I ran I said I would never do it again.  We had both been practicing in P.E. at school.  We knew it was going to be hard, but we were ready.  The boys got to run first, so Evan and all his friends lined up on the starting line.

Evan was chewing on his fingernails in this picture because he was nervous!  I knew he would do just fine.

When the gun went off, Evan took off as fast as he could.

When he made it back around to the track, it was a close race.  Evan, Cadyen Crocker, and Cooper Slott were neck in neck.  Mom, Kaylee, and I were there to cheer Evan on.

At that point, Evan gave the race all he had left.  He pushed himself all the way to the finish line.

We were so proud of him!

It was finally my turn to run the race.  My mom ran it with me.  We make a good team!

Kaylee and I also got to run the race together.  Tanner ran with her.

We all found our spots on the starting line, and it was crowded!!!!  When the gun was fired we all took off.  I wish I had some pictures of us taking off but my Unc (Kaylee's dad) was suppose to take the pictures, and let's just say he is not a very good photographer.

The race was tough!  My mom said before the race that I couldn't talk or cry during the race.  I talked a little, but I never cried.  The cold air was making my throat hurt, but I pushed through it.  My mom would hold my hand while we were running to reassure me that I could do it.  When we finally got to the track we decided to put forth our best effort and race for the finish line. We finished the race strong.  I never had to stop!  I was proud of myself and my mom.  Again, I wish I had a picture of me crossing the finish line, but my uncle didn't get the picture.

I was also proud of Evan, and he was proud of me!

All of our friends got together after the races to wait for the results.  We had fun just visiting and playing with everyone.  Mom even let us pour water on ourselves to cool off!

Finally, it was time for the winners of the race to be announced.  It seemed like we had waited forever.

Evan had come in third place!  He ran a mile in 6 minutes and 54 seconds!!!! My mom said she couldn't even run a mile that fast.  We were all very proud of him.

I came in 8th place for my division.  Even though I didn't get a medal, I was still excited.  I even beat my friend Danica Romero who is in 6th grade.  She said she will try to beat me next year. :0)  I ran the mile in 8 minutes and 57 seconds!  Not too bad for a first grader.  I improved my time by 58 seconds from last year.  My dad said he couldn't run a mile that fast!

It was a really good day and a fun run!!!!
