Christmas Eve

It was finally Christmas Eve!  Evan and I got all dressed up in our Christmas church outfits.  I think we looked wonderful!

We headed to Oma and Opa's house first.  We got to see our cousins and have a delicious dinner.

We got to open our Christmas pajamas at Oma's house.

We didn't get to stay very long because I was chosen to be an Angel at the Children's Christmas Mass.  Mom and Dad said I was the prettiest Angel they had ever seen!

I was a little nervous walking down the isle, but when I saw my family smiling at me, it made me feel better.

My friends and I had so much fun.

Evan and Adam were chosen to bring the gifts to the alter.

It was such a wonderful way to begin our celebration of Jesus' birthday!

After mass, we headed to Great Grandmother's house.  We celebrated the rest of Christmas Eve with the Buchanan family.  We had a great time.  

Evan and I got to bed as soon as we could.  We were so excited about Santa Claus coming that night.

The Whitehead's Christmas

We got to celebrate Christmas a little early this year with Mo Mo and Pop Pop.  We were so excited to open gifts.  Before we could open gifts, Mo Mo had made us lasagna for lunch.  It was delicious.  

After lunch, we were ready for presents!  Evan and I ripped open package after package.

We got some really cool stuff!

We enjoy spending the day with Mo Mo and Pop Pop.  We hope they liked there gifts as much as we did.

Christmas Parties

We begin our day with the Christmas Sing-a-long.  We had a lot of fun signing and dancing with our friends.

Mrs. Spivey is in the background getting in our picture!  We love having her as a teacher.  She is always making us laugh.

Mom and some other teachers surprised all the students with a dance to the Twelve Days of Christmas. Mom did a great job, even though, I was kind of embarrassed!

The next thing on our agenda was PARTIES!!!!

Ava's party was first.  They had a pancake breakfast for their party.  Ava loves pancakes!!!!

She had a lot of fun with her friends and classmates.

Ava and Maggie are always acting silly!

Santa Claus came for a surprise visit.  He said Ava had been good!

Ava's class decided to not exchange gifts this year.  They donated food to our local animal shelters.

My party was at lunch time.  Mrs. Robin had worked hard to make sure we had a great party.

We had a gift exchange in my class.  Mrs. Lambert read us "Twas The Night Before Christmas".  She added the words left and right throughout the story, and when she said one of the words we would pass our gifts that way.

We had a lot of fun exchanging gifts.  The gift I received was a mind puzzle.

Santa Claus made a surprise visit to my classroom too.

He said my whole class had been good!

I had a great LAST Christmas party at Helena Park.

The Year Santa Got Mixed Up

Ava's second grade class did a Christmas program for their parents.  The name of her program was The Year Santa Got Mixed Up.  Ava was the narrator.  She looked beautiful in her Christmas dress.

Ava did a great job.  She remembered all her parts.  She had a lot of lines to remember!

Ava's friend Malaki was Santa Claus.  He borrowed my costume from when I was Santa Claus in Mrs. Sprivey's second grade program.

Ava Wiltz was Mrs. Claus.

Ava's friend Maggie was the Easter Bunny.

All the kids looked great for the program, and they did a wonderful job.

Oma and Opa came to watch Ava perform.

Mom loved every minute.  She said it was a very funny show.

Mo Mo and Pop Pop thought it was great.

Dad didn't get to attend.  He had to work.  I wasn't able to go either because I was doing a practice STAAR exam.  Mom video taped it, so Dad and I could watch it that night.

Ava did a wonderful job!

A Sweet Bell Boy

We were hanging out at the Bell's house, and all of a sudden I looked over at Evan playing the playstation and this is what I see...

I think this is the cutest picture I have ever seen.  Evan didn't seem to mind the love Payton was giving him!

The Helena Singers Tour

Evan had his Helena Singers Tour today.  He went to Cypress Glen Nursing Home and Gulf Credit Union to sing. 

Evan had a speaking part.  He helped introduce the show.  He did a great job.  All the people in the nursing home and bank loved the show.  Some of them even sang along with them.  

After the performances, the Helena Singers had a pizza and cookie party in the music room.  They also got to watch a movie.  I think the party was Evan's favorite part.

Evan had three more performances at school the next week.  He spoke clearly and slowly every time.  His friends, Cooper, Paxton, and Corbin, all had solos.  They sang beautifully.

Evan had a lot of fun and made many memories with his friends.

Our Little Alter Boy!

We were so excited for Evan to be an alter server for the first time.  He was a little a nervous, but thankfully Emma was serving with him incase he had any questions.

Mom started to cry a little when she saw Evan walking down the isle.  She was so proud to see Evan serving God.  What an amazing opportunity.

Mom was taking pictures and video taping him the whole mass.  I think people in the back of the church were laughing at her.   

Evan did a great job.  Emma had to help him a little during mass.

The only thing he forgot was to get the prayer book.

We were all very proud of him.
