Everything is Possible with God

This week we had Vacation Bible School at St. Charles.  We had a blast.  We did all kinds of science experiments and learned many things about God.  Mom even let me invite Corbin to come.  I think he really enjoyed it.

On the last day, we had a program where all the grade levels got to sing.  My song was called You, You, You.  It was about how you can trust God with anything. 

Ava sang a song called No Matter How I Feel.  It was about trusting God no matter how you feel.

VBS was a great time with friends.  We celebrated the end of Bible School with hot dogs and cookies.

It was a wonderful way to spend one of our weeks of summer.  I learned that Jesus can do anything as long as you believe in him.  Ava learned all about Jesus's disciples and how they fished.  She also said she learned that God spoke to them to show them what to do.

Nothing Says Summer Like Pedicures!

Mom took Kaylee and I to get our toes and nails done.  I love sitting in the massage chair.  It is my favorite part of getting a pedicure.  Look how good our toenails and fingernails look.

After we were done, we had to sit and wait for mom to get her toes done.  The nice lady that works there gave us both lollipops to enjoy while we waited.

Kaylee and I enjoyed our pedi and mani's, but most of all we enjoyed visiting with one another.  We are not only cousins, but we are great friends.

Let's Bowl, Let's Bowl, Let's Rock -n- Roll!

Mom and Dad decided to take us bowling today.  Ava invited Alexis Johnson, and I invited Ryan Bell and Preston Johnson.  

Not too far into the first game, we decided it was boys against girls!  The boys were cheering the boys on, and the girls were cheering the girls on.

Dad taught Ava and I had to bowl correctly.  I think our forms looked pretty good for beginners.

To Ryan, Preston, and my disappointment, Alexis won the first game!  I think she must have played this game before!!!!

Dad gave us a pep talk before the second game.

Mom got us all snacks to reenergize us.

The second game began.  It was a heated game.  Alexis and Ava were on fire bowling!  Ryan, Preston, and I just sat and watched them bowl strike after strike.

The game finally ended and the GIRLS won AGAIN!!!!  We couldn't believe it.

Even though the girls won, we still enjoyed our day of bowling.

Wildwood Old Glory

We couldn't wait to get to Wildwood for our annual 4th of July weekend.  Our cousins, Kaylee, Hunter, Tanner, Jack, and Rider, were all coming in for the weekend.  Once everyone got there, we started the fun with boardgames.  Hunter wasn't very happy when he drew the card that said he had to wear a napkin for a bid for the entire game!

Next on our agenda was to draw on Oma's table.  Every time we visit, she covers the table with with white drawing paper, and away we go!

Later that night, we patiently waited for the raccoons to come visit.  We throw marshmallows out the back door and wait for them to come eat their feast.

It was long before the raccoons came.  Tanner decided to put a marshmallow on a fishing line and tease the poor raccoons with it.  Every time the raccoon got close to the marshmallow, Tanner would pull the line.  We all were laughing at Tanner's trick.  Oma told us that we had feed them enough marshmallows, so we decided to give them the empty cat food can.  The raccoons were smart and decided to try and pull the can under the deck, so we couldn't play tricks on them.

That night I stayed with Kaylee at Unc's trailer, and Hunter spent the night with Evan at Oma and Opa's house.  We woke up early and headed to Oma's for our annual colored pancake and bacon breakfast.  Dad had already headed out to play in the Old Glory Golf Tournament.  Tanner was still sleeping on the couch, so we decided to dog pile him!

After breakfast we headed outside to use some of our energy and jump on the trampoline.

Our next project was to decorate the house and our trampoline with red, white, and blue decorations.

We ran inside and begged to go to the lake.

We jumped on Unc's golf cart as fast as we could.  We thought it was hilarious that Unc's golf cart passed up Oma's on the way to the lake.  We always like to get there first!

We had a blast at the lake.  We swam, build sandcastles, and Evan and Hunter even had a mud fight.  

After our fun in the sun (clouds and rain), we hurried back to Oma and Opa's house to play on the water slide.  

After dinner, we headed out to lake to watch the the Old Glory Firework Show.  Oma made my beautiful 4th of July dress.

We all piled in the back of Unc's truck and on the golf carts to watch the spectacular show.

Mom surprised us and had bought us all glow in the dark necklaces.  Kaylee and I got special glow in the dark glasses.  We look really cool!

I was nice enough to let Evan wear mine for a little while.

After the firework show, we all decided to have a sleep over at Oma and Opa's house with all the grandkids.  I fell asleep fast.  It had been a long fun day.

The next day, it rained all day.  We didn't get to do too much.  We did all snuggle with mom on the couch.

We ended up leaving Wildwood after lunch on  Sunday with Kaylee and Hunter.  Mom stayed behind to wait for dad to finish golfing.  His team ended up coming in 4th place.  He played a really great game on Saturday scoring a 79, but his Sunday game didn't go as well.  Maybe next year will be his year to win it!  We had another great weekend in Wildwood and made many memories.
